Anafi is a small island east of Santorini in the southeast of the
Cyclades in with ca 300 inhabitants .
The port on Anafi is Agios Nikolaos where the ferries and other boats are
coming from Piraeus and the other islands. the island has some nice beaches
and is ideal for those who love to spend a relaxing holiday away from the
mass tourism resorts and islands with the usual crowds of holidaymakers.
Along the south coast of Anafi you will find the beaches Mikros and Megalos
Roukounas, Klisidi and Katsouni with sand.
There is a monastery of Virgin Mary on the foot of Kalamos cliff and a
Venetian castle in Chora, there are also some ruins from the antiquity and
the roman era. There are boat connections with Santorini.
You can get to the beaches by bus from Chora. There are some nice taverns
and cafes where you can enjoy typical Greek cuisine and wine..
